Brooklyn is a city in Cuyahoga County (ZIP 44144), about 45 minutes from our shop at 7401 Ravenna Rd in Concord Township. A southwest Cleveland suburb that grew rapidly in the mid-20th century, expanding from roughly 1,100 residents in 1940 to over 13,000 by 1970 before stabilizing. Airlock Insulation has been dense-packing cellulose into Cuyahoga County attics and walls for years, and Brooklyn homes are a regular stop for our crews.
What we see in Brooklyn homes. Housing stock is predominantly mid-century suburban construction from the 1950s-1970s growth boom; as of 2020 there were 5,608 housing units, about 56.5% owner-occupied. Houses from that era were typically built with little or no wall insulation and thin, settled attic insulation, so the biggest wins in Brooklyn are usually a dense-pack wall injection, air sealing the attic floor, and bringing the attic up to R-49 or better with blown-in Nu-Wool cellulose.
Whether you’re near Biddulph Avenue, Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn High School (Elvis Presley 1955 performance site) or anywhere else in Brooklyn, the process is the same: a free in-home consultation, an itemized quote, and most jobs finished in a single day.
Nearby communities we also serve: Linndale, Cleveland (Old Brooklyn), Parma, Brooklyn Heights.
