Chardon is a city in Geauga County (ZIP 44024), about 22 minutes from our shop at 7401 Ravenna Rd in Concord Township. County seat of Geauga County, known for the annual Geauga County Maple Festival and for being called the snowiest city in Ohio (~107 in. of lake-effect snow per year). Airlock Insulation has been dense-packing cellulose into Geauga County attics and walls for years, and Chardon homes are a regular stop for our crews.
What we see in Chardon homes. Downtown core rebuilt after an 1869 fire, giving Chardon Square a historic 19th-century commercial/civic character (Geauga County Courthouse, 1869); surrounding residential areas mix century homes near downtown with 20th-century and newer suburban/exurban construction. Specific median home age unknown. Houses from that era were typically built with little or no wall insulation and thin, settled attic insulation, so the biggest wins in Chardon are usually a dense-pack wall injection, air sealing the attic floor, and bringing the attic up to R-49 or better with blown-in Nu-Wool cellulose.
Whether you’re near Chardon Square (downtown), Geauga County Courthouse, Geauga Lyric Theater (1939 Art Deco) or anywhere else in Chardon, the process is the same: a free in-home consultation, an itemized quote, and most jobs finished in a single day.
Nearby communities we also serve: Aquilla, Kirtland, Kirtland Hills, Chesterland, Burton.
