Russell is a township in Geauga County (ZIP 44072), about 40 minutes from our shop at 7401 Ravenna Rd in Concord Township. Affluent rural/exurban horse-and-estate country in western Geauga, settled 1818 by Gideon Russell; home to ASM International’s geodesic-dome headquarters and the Laurel School campus. Airlock Insulation has been dense-packing cellulose into Geauga County attics and walls for years, and Russell homes are a regular stop for our crews.
What we see in Russell homes. Overwhelmingly detached single-family homes (2,063 of ~2,245 units) on larger rural lots; construction concentrated in the 1950s-1960s (1,178 units combined) with a secondary wave in the 1980s (279 units). Large homes are typical, consistent with estate-style exurban housing. Houses from that era were typically built with little or no wall insulation and thin, settled attic insulation, so the biggest wins in Russell are usually a dense-pack wall injection, air sealing the attic floor, and bringing the attic up to R-49 or better with blown-in Nu-Wool cellulose.
Whether you’re near Fairmount Road, State Route 306, The West Woods park (Geauga Park District) or anywhere else in Russell, the process is the same: a free in-home consultation, an itemized quote, and most jobs finished in a single day.
Nearby communities we also serve: Bainbridge Township, Munson Township, Chester Township, Newbury Township, Hunting Valley.
