Thompson Ohio Blown-In Cellulose Insulation Professionals

Thompson is a township in Geauga County (ZIP 44086), about 20 minutes from our shop at 7401 Ravenna Rd in Concord Township. Rural NE Geauga farm township established 1801, home to Thompson Ledges rock formations and birthplace of aluminum-industry pioneer Charles Martin Hall. Airlock Insulation has been dense-packing cellulose into Geauga County attics and walls for years, and Thompson homes are a regular stop for our crews.

What we see in Thompson homes. Mostly single-family detached homes (713 of ~906 units) plus a notable mobile-home share (142 units); construction spans decades with clusters built 1939-or-earlier (180 units), 1960s (143 units), and 1980s (148 units) — a mix of older farmhouses and mid-/late-20th-century rural construction. Houses from that era were typically built with little or no wall insulation and thin, settled attic insulation, so the biggest wins in Thompson are usually a dense-pack wall injection, air sealing the attic floor, and bringing the attic up to R-49 or better with blown-in Nu-Wool cellulose.
