Welshfield is a hamlet in Geauga County (ZIP unknown (served by Burton, 44021)), about 40 minutes from our shop at 7401 Ravenna Rd in Concord Township. Small unincorporated rural hamlet at the center of Troy Township, named for pioneer settler Jacob Welsh; also historically known as Troy/Troy Center; had its own post office from 1838 to 1958. Airlock Insulation has been dense-packing cellulose into Geauga County attics and walls for years, and Welshfield homes are a regular stop for our crews.
What we see in Welshfield homes. unknown in detail; township is rural/farm character, with the Fox-Pope Farmhouse (built 1820) cited as a representative historic structure, suggesting a mix of century farmhouses and rural homes typical of southern Geauga County. Houses from that era were typically built with little or no wall insulation and thin, settled attic insulation, so the biggest wins in Welshfield are usually a dense-pack wall injection, air sealing the attic floor, and bringing the attic up to R-49 or better with blown-in Nu-Wool cellulose.
Whether you’re near Fox-Pope Farmhouse (1820), US-422 & SR-700 intersection, LaDue Reservoir (nearby) or anywhere else in Welshfield, the process is the same: a free in-home consultation, an itemized quote, and most jobs finished in a single day.
Nearby communities we also serve: Burton, Parkman, Auburn Township, Chardon, Middlefield.
